L-leucine, known chemically as α-monoamino hexanoic acid, was first isolated from cheese in 1819 Proust found.Later, Braconnot crystallized it from the acid hydrolysate of muscle and wool and named it Leucine.L-leucine is one of the 18 common amino acids and one of the eight essential amino acids for human body.
